How can you study abroad?
There are several ways you can include studying abroad as a part, or for all, of your degree:
Most Language courses will include a period of time in another country and many courses with an international dimension will do too, e.g. degree courses such as European Studies and International Business.
Many universities offer a 'Study Abroad' year as part of any of their degree courses - see this example from Manchester university: Study Abroad year at Manchester
You can choose to study for your whole degree abroad.
More and more UK universities have campuses abroad. You would gain a UK university qualification, be taught in the English Language whilst also gaining the study abroad experience, for example Middlesex University has a campus in Dubai.
There are also opportunities to participate in summer school programmes, or work abroad in the summer holidays, whilst you are at university - your university careers department will have details.
Why study for your whole degree abroad?
Some European universities are offering courses taught in English. See this example from Maastricht university in Holland: Maastricht University International Programmes
Many European university degrees are cheaper than studying in the U.K.
You will meet and make friends with students from all over the world, experience another culture and may develop language skills.
If you are interested in finding out more about these opportunities, you will need to do a lot of research into the courses, the country and the costs involved. Universities across the world will offer degrees in different ways so you need to do your research and start early.
